We had a Fun & POWERFUL Girls Luncheon…

Fun, Fried Chicken, & Fallopian Tubes!

After some great games & prizes, we had an open discussion about health & sexual issues. Emily Limbaugh from the Pregnancy Resource Center led the talk. The girls had some honest & thought provoking questions & they got answers.

Some Things We Discussed:

Pregnancy (Can you get pregnant having sex 1 time?), Rape, the 32 STDs (which are multiplying), & What is God’s Desire for Our Lives?

1 Corinthians 12:23-24

“and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it”

I am so thankful for the girls & women that came & heard real Truth. It is important for us to bring all of our lives under the truth, authority, & glory of our Lord. This luncheon opened a lot of doors for us to talk about sexual issues with the girls that God has put within our lives.

1 Corinthians 6:20 you were bought at a price.

Therefore honor God with your body.”

  1. You are my hero for the day, maybe the whole week. What a cool gal you are! I don’t know whether to say “Thank you!” “Congratulations!” “Way to go!” “Keep on keepin’ on!” “Praise God!” or something else, but this is a way cool way for sisters in Christ to interact with each other.

  2. Thx Renae!
Patti, Emily Limbaugh, Sara T, Meg, Stephene & others were there… & thx to Patti for hosting it!
    they were great.

This week we begin our girls bible study, & we will have even more opportunities to talk about these issues.
    Can’t wait!
    May God Speak!

  3. i love how gutsy you are and willing to be bold and honest with these girls. i wish a strong woman had done something like this while i was in youth group. way to go for starting much needed conversations at this stage in their lives!
