The Prayer of Jabez in ACTION:
Last week I wrote Governor Matt Blount & told him Saida’s story… How she plans to study U.S. History, wants to attend William & Mary, her Somalian background….
Yesterday, we received an official invitation:
“The Governor would be more than happy to meet with Saida and pose for a photograph with her.” We are invited in March at
the “Governor’s Office at the State Capitol Building at 10:00am”
I burst out in tears & jumping up & down! Shainy thought their must be a mouse in the house as he raced up the stairs.
I went-bounced– to Saida’s house to tell her in person. She was Shocked! As she translated to her mom, I asked “What does mom say???” They both looked at me as Saida translated & said,
“I want to go too!”
“Ok, I’ll ask!!!”
That evening, I checked the mail. See, Yvonne, from Congo, INSISTS that we take our youth retreat to ARIZONA! So, I wrote the Arizona Governor & explained Yvonne’s unique story. They sent her a great package about Arizona & a photograph of Governor Napolitano! This is SO Exciting!
If YOU have any CONNECTIONS that we could use to EMPOWER African Refugee girls, LET ME KNOW!
We’d like to visit the other Governors & Congressmen, & whoever else we can!

Praise God for Redeeming the Lives of Refugee Girls
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.”
